How do concrete sinks hold up?
Concrete sinks are exceptionally durable, designed to withstand daily use and last a lifetime. While minor wear, such as small chips or surface stains, may occur in rare circumstances or with improper care, these are easily remedied by resealing.
What is an integral sink?
An integral sink is seamlessly molded into the counter.
How do I care for my concrete product?
To preserve the beauty of your concrete sink, clean it regularly with a soft cloth and a non-abrasive, pH-neutral cleaner. We recommend Meyers multi-surface products for everyday care and Simple Green for more thorough cleaning.
Never use abrasive cleaners, scrubbing pads, or harsh chemicals such as ammonia, vinegar or hydrogen peroxide, as these can compromise the protective sealer. Likewise, refrain from placing hot items directly on the surface or dragging sharp objects across it.
Acidic liquids such as lemon juice, vinegar, wine, soda, and tomato-based products should be wiped up promptly to prevent etching or discoloration. With proper care, your concrete sink will maintain its strength, elegance, and timeless appeal for years to come.
Is concrete suitable for outdoors?
Concrete is inherently suited for outdoor environments. Our proprietary crafting process ensures that each piece maintains its structural integrity even when exposed to the elements. Every item is finished with a premium protective sealer that enhances durability and preserves the richness of its color, offering lasting beauty and performance in any setting.
How much do concrete countertops cost?
Our concrete countertops are entirely custom creations, designed and crafted to your exact specifications. Pricing is influenced by several factors, including total square footage, overall shape, edge thickness, and design complexity. Base price is $125 per square foot. Additional elements such as textured edges, specialty pigments and finishes, and waterfall legs add to the overall cost.

Why choose concrete over other solid surfaces?
Concrete countertops have a unique mix of aesthetic flexibility, durability, and customization that sets them apart from other solid surfaces like quartz, granite, or Corian. By starting with a liquid we can mold any shape, thickness, color and in large seamless pieces. In addition, we can embed meaningful and themed objects like family keepsakes, shells, glass etc. The options are truly limitless.
Can concrete items be refinished?
Yes, when precast pieces start showing wear they can be resealed. At this time any chips can be addressed as well. Please see our repair kits and sealer offered along with our Youtube channel to learn how to do this yourself.
Can concrete items scratch?
Micro-scratches are possible and expected over time. These marks typically occur on the surface of the sealer, not the concrete itself. Scratches tend to be more noticeable on darker-colored countertops than on lighter ones. We recommend resealing around the 5 year mark.
Does the color fade in precast items?
No, unlike some other vendors our color is a pigment that is mixed into the concrete instead of an exterior color application like paint. The color will not fade. We then seal with a UV stable sealer that will not yellow over time. When the color appears to fade this is a sign that it is probably time to be resealed which will rejuvenate the piece.
What do concrete items weigh?
A general rule of thumb of most items is around 15lbs per square foot of surface area.
What is GFRC?
GFRC is made by mixing:
- Cement, sand, and water (like regular concrete)
- Alkali-resistant glass fibers instead of traditional steel rebar
- Polymers and admixtures that increase flexibility, strength, and bonding
The ¾” fibers are evenly distributed throughout the mix, giving it high tensile and flexural strength allowing it to bend slightly under stress without cracking.
The benefits of GFRC over standard concrete for precast items are the ability to make items thinner, stronger, lighter and more intricate.
What is the PSI or hardness of Molding Mud products?
Our concrete mix comes in at 10,000 psi in testing
